About SCE   BACKGROUND - MOTIVATION For nearly twenty years I have been involved in supply chain management, process improvement, leadership and education. I created SCE Limited four years ago to support the "do-it-yourself" supply chain performance improvement market through an array of unique training, coaching, and professional development services. SCE is recognized globally as a center of excellence in SCOR® and, now, VCOR implementation. Enjoy the website!     EXPERIENCE As an operations leader, I've had the opportunity to gain extensive first-hand knowledge of all aspects of “operations in the trenches”.  As a consultant, I gained perspective leading cross-industry supply chain analysis, systems implementation, process engineering, and project management and put to the test the “yes, but we’re different” syndrome.  As an educator, I have dedicated myself to helping organizations understand the concept of supply chain and how it can help improve overall operational performance.  As a former technical chair and two term member of the Board of Directors with the Supply Chain Council, I have worked hard to contribute as much to the SCOR knowledge pool through energy, enthusiasm, and practical experience.     BUSINESS PHILOSOPHY Both of my parents are professors; my wife, Cary, teaches 3rd grade (and has for 20 years); I hold a math, education, and psychology BA; earned a masters in Human Resource Development; and taught secondary math for several years. Needless to say, fundamental to my business philosophy are the concepts of teaching and learning.
