It doesn't seem like six years ago that this
site launched as the SCOR® Users Resource Center. Since then, the site has enjoyed over two
million hits and 1,000,000 visitors. Feedback from frequent visitors who stayed over
5 minutes include phrases like, 'easy to navigate', 'awesome content', 'thanks for the downloads',
and 'great one stop shop for a technical SCOR user'. Other happenings in 2008 include my 70th coaching assignment,
translation of Supply Chain Excellence into German and Korean,
and continued expansion of the method into the wider value chain space (design and sales). Thanks for the feedback!
Enjoy the site.

“Until now…there hasn’t been
a good book on the SCORŪ approach. Supply Chain Excellence… examines Fowler in more detail than any Harvard Business
School case study, and describes how SCORŪ changes the way Fowler’s managers think about their supply chain systems
in the course of seventeen weeks...If you are involved in supply chain management, read this book!"

I've had 50,000 questions and 3 interviews in
the last 12 months on the subject of the green supply chain. I Googled the phrase "Going Green". There
were 21,800,000 results. I filtered "The Green Supply Chain" and ended up with 559,000 entries. The research helped
me conclude three things. First, while the concept is easy for most to comprehend (recycling), for a company to 'be'
green requires a deep technical understanding of products, waste, and the consumer. Second, companies without a comprehensive
strategy (product and operational) driven from the top will suffer from 'initiative syndrome'. Third, I needed
to provide more information for people on this site. It is a pleasure to introduce Eric Jackson, CEO of Carbonless Promise, ejackson@carbonlesspromise.com, as my guest expert on the subject.
